We are full-time outfitters. When we are not hunting, we are our pre-scouting and getting ready for hunts coming up. We have about 85% repeat hunters. Some have hunted several different game animals with us throughout the years.

Lion hunting is one of our passions. We enjoy training our own hounds that we have raised and spent endless hours working with. The pursuit of these big cats can last for minutes, hours or days, depending on what kind of track the hounds have to work with. We are not one of these outfitters that won't run a track if it looks a little old or is too late in the day. Our motto is, "if hounds can run it, we turn them on it." Snowmachines are used for transportation to look for tracks and haul hounds and gear.

Good, mature Toms are our main target for harvesting, leaving females to produce offspring. We are consistent in taking 14-inch plus skulls on the lions we harvest. This is a 7-day hunt that we start mid-November and run through March 31st. Licenses can be purchased over the counter when you arrive.

Bobcat
Bobcats make a great combo hunt with mountain lions, or are a great trophy by themselves. We basically hunt them the same way we hunt lions. We offer this as a 5-day hunt from November 15th to the end of February. The license has to be applied for at the Wyoming Game & Fish Department in Cheyenne. There are restrictions for some states obtaining a license, so please give us a call and ask us about it.

Bighorn Sheep hunting is another one of our passions. It is a physically-demanding hunt that is basically a once in a lifetime hunt for a hunter to harvest a ram in Wyoming.

Our ten-day hunt starts by packing a camp in with horses and mules. From there, we are mainly hunting by foot and using backpacks to transport gear to other camp destinations.

Our main technique of hunting is using vantage points to glass the area, catching rams moving and feeding.

Being in the best physical shape you can be will inicrease your odds of taking a trophy ram. We have been consistent in taking 160 plus class rams throughout the years.

We hunt Areas 8 and 23, which open September 1st and Areas 9 and 10, which open August 15th. Let us help you with that once-in-a-lifetime trophy.

Elk Hunting We offer several Elk hunts out of our two wilderness base camps. These are horseback type hunts where you will have seven days of hunting in some of the most pristine wilderness available to hunters today. Our base camps consist of wall tents with cots and propane heaters to provide as much comfort as possible. Meals are prepared in the cook tent where chairs and tables are available to sit around the wood stove and eat breakfast and dinner, sack lunches are provided for lunch since you will be out all day hunting.

Spike camps are also used when elk have moved to different parts of the areas that are difficult to reach from our base camps. These are not as fancy as our base camps but they are productive if needed to make your hunt a success.

We limit our camps to 4 to 6 hunters for the week to assure a more quality down-home hunt.

We start our rifle hunts the 20th of September in limited quota area 97. This is a great hunt during the rut in some of the most pristine wilderness in the Wind River Mountains. Spike camps are used frequently on this hunt due to the remote country we hunt in this area. We take 300 class bulls on an average in this area. This area has a real good draw success. You can almost be assured to draw a license with or without points. There is usually left over bull licenses in this area. Please contact us in mid-July for information.

We use both our main base camps for our limited quota area 96 hunts. They start the 1st of October and run thru the 31st of October. This is a great area with lots of elk and good potential of killing a good mature bull. During the first part of October the rut is still on with lots of vocal activity from bulls. Having two camps available in this area really makes it versatile in being where the elk are. We don’t usually have to do much spike camping on these hunts. Preference points are not always needed to draw a license in this area, but if you are planning for the future please go ahead and get one from July 1st to September 30th through the Wyoming Game and Fish Department. It will just assure you of drawing a license.

Our limited quota area 95 type 2 opens October 1s. The bulls are still real active in the rut this time of year. This is a limited quota area only with a real good chance at killing a 340 class bull. The limited number of tags assures bulls have the chance to grow and become a good trophy class bull. We also use spike camps frequently on this hunt due to the remote country we hunt. This license does not have the best draw odds, but you have a real good chance at a mature bull. Preference points are needed to draw in this area.

Our General elk tag season opens October 15th. This is also a good opportunity to harvest a good bull after the rut. We do a lot of glassing for mature bulls out feeding in the open terrain where stalks can be made. Bulls will sometimes bachelor up with other bulls making it easier to spot them. The weather plays a big part in determining which camps are used as sometimes we get snowed out of our base camps so lower spike camps are used.

Archery season opens September 1st, but we suggest waiting until at least the 10th to let the rut kick in and bulls get more active. Archery hunters have ample shot opportunity at bull during this hunt. The rut is in full force and the bulls are hot, making calling more productive. Both the Borum Lake Camp and our Bluff Park Camp are used during this hunt, depending on where we find the most concentration of elk. We suggest a General elk tag for this hunt so you are not limited to one area, or an area 95 tag since this is a limited quota area only.

Mule Deer and Antelope Hunting We offer 5-day mule deer hunts out of our Borum Lake Base Camp. This is one of the better mule deer camps in the Bridger Wilderness for taking good mature bucks.

This hunt is conducted similar to our elk hunts, leaving camp early with horses, doing a lot of glassing from vantage points and catching the bucks out feeding. We hunt a lot of open country above timberline, so extensive glassing is done throughout most of the day into late evening.

September 15th is opening day of our high-country deer hunt, going into the first week of October, so you can combo this hunt with elk during our first two hunts. This hunt is in Deer Area Region H and has resonable draw odds.

We also offer a late-season migration hunt in Deer Areas 141 and 162. This hunt starts October 15th and runs until the end of the month.

We are basically hunting these deer coming out of the higher country working their way to their wintering grounds. Glassing migratory routes is the main technique we use for hunting these bucks. You will stay in cabins at our ranch, so if sleeping in a wall tent isn't your cup of tea, this is your kind of hunt.

This is a low-percentage draw for a license, but the chance of harvesting a trophy buck is excellent.

Antelope Hunting Our antelope hunts are done mainly on private ground with large tracts of BLM surrounding them.

We offer a 5-day hunt just for a little extra time to find that buck that is suited for you. We have great archery opportunities, as well as rifle, to harvest a good mature 14" plus buck.

Antelope make a great combo hunt with our late-season deer or with our elk hunts. We start hunting antelope September 10th through the end of October. Lodging and meals are provided at our ranch cabins.
