Nestled along the Green River bordering the Bridger-Teton National forest, Kendall Valley Lodge offers all the comforts of snuggling up to cozy campfires, sizzling steaks off the grill, horseback riding on forest trails, fly fishing the ripples of the Green River all the while creating everlasting memories of a great outdoor adventure.

Embark in additional activities backpacking, horseback trail riding or overnight camping in the Bridger-Teton wilderness where great panoramic views of the Wyoming Wind River Mountains can take your breath away from purple mountains glimmering off the setting sun, fish jumping in the clear smooth mountain lakes, and chances of wildlife can be seen along the mountains streams, lakes and valleys to be explored that encompass the very passion the wilderness of Wyoming has to offer. Kendall Valley Lodge is a year-round mountain lodge and guest ranch adjacent to the Bridger-Teton National Forest and the Green River. Closest lodge to Square Top Mountain and the Green River Lakes with comfortable cabins, restaurant and bar. Kendall Valley Lodge is operated by Mule Shoe Outfitters where we conduct Guided Horseback Trail Rides; Guided Day Fishing Trips either by horseback or vehicle as well as Scenic Tours by vehicle; Guided Wilderness Fishing Trips for Golden Trout, Cutthroat, Brook Trout, and Grayling; Wilderness Pack Trips with campfires and breath taking scenery, along with Spot Pack Trips and Gear Drops for the Do-It-Yourself folks. We also offer winter accommodations for snowmobilers traveling the Continental Trail or day riding. Located 31 miles north of Pinedale and 79 miles southeast of Jackson at the end of the pavement on Highway 352.


Guided trail rides and day fishing are conducted out of the Lodge and other trailheads as well. We offer 2 hour, half day, and full day rides directly from the Lodge where wildlife can be seen with spectacular scenery and ample photographic opportunity.

If you want to explore the Bridger-Teton Forest and Wilderness more, we offer day rides and day fishing out of other various trailheads throughout the area away from the Lodge. We will trailer livestock to a designated trailhead and from there we will ride through the forest mountain scenery, stop at a scenic panoramic views of the rugged mountains and river canyons to have lunch, take some great pictures, then ride back to the trailhead returning to the lodge for a relaxing evening.

Explore the Wind River Range Mountains


We offer Wilderness Wyoming Pack Trips and Wilderness Wyoming Fishing Trips in the Bridger-Teton Wilderness throughout the Wind River Mountain Range during the months of July and August, availability 3 to 14 day trips. If you are interested in mainly a Wyoming fly fishing expedition or with rod and reel fishing. We can design your trip for a specific species of trout that you are interest-ed in. You will have the opportunity to fish for Golden Trout, Cutthroat, Grayling and Brook Trout in some of the most pristine lakes and streams available to fishermen.

If you are interested in just riding gentle horses and mules through some of the most magnificent high country available to outdoor enthusiast then we can concentrate more on scenery and photography opportunities of some of the most majestic high mountain peaks and glaciers in the Bridger-Teton Wilderness. If you enjoy hiking and exploring there are ample places to hike to the top of a mountain for a panoramic view of the Wind River Mountains.

You will enjoy eating camp cooked meals in a spectacular mountain setting with a crackling camp-fire at night to sit around and relax with friends or family discussing the day’s events.
You will be in good hands with quality experienced guides, gentle riding horses and mules during your wilderness adventure. Meals, tents and all equipment will be furnished to provide a comfortable camp. All you will need is a sleeping bag, fishing equipment, personal items and a fishing license for anyone 14 years of age and over that plans on fishing.


Spot pack trips

Enjoy the Bridger-Teton Wilderness on your own, we will pack your gear and furnish a riding horse or mule to a destination of your choice from there we will leave you to your own adventure. We can also return on the date of your departure and bring you and your gear out to the trailhead. Gentle riding stock and stout pack animals will be used to transport you and your gear up to 12 miles one way if your favorite spot is further let us know and we can quote you a price. Gear is limited to 75 pounds per person accommodations for more pack animals can be arranged.


Gear Drops

If you’re a hiker and tired of carrying those heavy packs or just need a little extra food or equipment let us pack your gear for you. Pick your favorite spot and we will have your gear there when you arrive we will also pick your gear up for you when you head back to the trail head. We will pack your gear up to 12 miles one way and if your destination is further we will quote you a price. Our pack stock is limited to 150 pounds per animal if 4 or more pack animals needed an additional guide fee will be added.

Snowmobiling • Back Country Cross-country Skiing and Snowshoeing

Stay in one of our warm cozy cabins at the Lodge for Winter fun that abounds over 600 miles of groomed snowmobile trails and vast mountain powder. The lodge is located on the "P" trail of the Continental Divide Snowmobile Trail. Enhance your skills of Back Country Cross-country skiing or Snowshoeing breaking your own trails right out of the Lodge. Complete your day with a warm meal at the Lodge.

WINTER HOURS: Restaurant and Bar open daily 8am to 8pm

Advance reservations recommended for overnight stays in cabins, but walk-ins are welcome.

From Pinedale, follow US 191 N 5.8 miles and turn north onto WY 352.
Travel 25.3 miles and then turn left (west) onto Redstone Road.
Drive 0.1 miles and turn right onto Rock Creek Road, and go 0.7 miles.
Kendall Valley Lodge will be on the left.

There are no fuel or store services once you leave US 191. Gas stations located in Pinedale and Daniel. Grocery & sporting goods stores in Pinedale.
